Espen is an economist focusing on topics related to health, poverty and inequality. He is currently a doctoral research fellow with CeFH, focused on the effects of severe illness in the family on various outcomes, including health, incomes, human capital and labor market participation. Espen has worked extensively with the World Bank on the measurement of living standards, children’s health, poverty and inequality. He is interested in data science and how new data sources can improve understanding of living standards, well-being and health.
